MIKI OHATA, NP
Miki Ohata is a board certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner who specializes in memory and cognitive disorders. She is excited for the opportunity to be part of the team to develop a memory and cognitive disorders screening program for Newport Neurospecialists.
Miki Ohata is a certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She attended the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. Following her undergraduate studies, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she completed a Masters of Science in Nursing in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Boston College.
During her training, Miki gained clinical experience in primary care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, gerontology, and neuro-oncology at several Boston area institutions, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Boston Medical Center.
She specializes in memory and cognitive disorders and is passionate about providing care and support to those with neurodegenerative diseases and their family members.
