Jason Muir is highly respected by his colleagues and peers in the fields of neurology and sleep medicine. He is one of the few sleep physicians in Orange County with additional certification in Clinical Neurophysiology. He is also board certified in both neurology and sleep medicine. This combination allows him to provide a comprehensive approach to the treatment of sleep disorders and neurological diseases.
Jason Muir serves as Chief of Service for the Hoag Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory. They serve patients with many neuromuscular disorders as well as cognitive issues that could be from epilepsy or seizures among other conditions.
Jason Muir received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern Califorinia. His residency training in neurology was also performed predominantly at USC, under Dr Helena Chui, Dr Said Beydoun and Dr Christianne Heck among others. After residency he completed clinical neurophysiology fellowship at USC where he was exposed to all aspects of this specialty. He is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
